British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is not planning to visit Donald Trump, winner of the US presidential election, on his way to the G20 summit in Brazil, GB News reports.
“No, as far as I know, we fly in a straight line. To be completely honest, it’s too early to talk about next week, but as far as I know, we will fly immediately (to Brazil).” – Starmer responded to reporters’ question about whether he plans to stop in Florida on the way to the summit to meet with Trump.
It was previously reported that Starmer called Trump to congratulate him on his “historic victory.” The politicians agreed in a telephone conversation that relations between the United States and Great Britain in various areas are strong and will flourish for many years to come.
During a speech in Parliament in early November, British Prime Minister Starmer avoided answering the question of whether he planned to invite Trump to speak in Parliament during the visit of the winner of the American election to the United Kingdom, simply saying saying that “A strong relationship” between the United States and Great Britain was important.
The nineteenth G20 summit will take place on November 18 and 19 in Rio de Janeiro.
