Orders for a new collection of clothing and accessories have been announced in the Porsche online shop.
The clothing and accessories are made in the checkered style of the traditional “911 Turbo”, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. To promote the new products, “Porsche” created a representation of the classic coupé in its original livery.

The checkered car is only available in renders. It was invented as part of Porsche’s celebration of the half-century of the 911 Turbo model. The colour scheme echoes the model-specific checked fabric interior of the sedan.
As the story goes, during the creation of the first “Turbo”, the chief designer of “Porsche” was Anatol Lapin. He wore a pair of trousers with a “Scottish tartan” pattern. They decided to use this decoration in the new model. But the fabric of the clothes was not suitable for the car. At that time, the brand’s stylist Dorothea Müller-Goodwin found a supplier with the required level of quality.
The checkered interior first appeared on the 1973 “911 RSR Turbo” concept. A year later, the 911 Turbo (previously called the 930 Turbo) was launched in the same finish. Three different colour options were offered: “Black Watch” (blue, green and black), “McLaughlin” (red and blue) and “Mackenzie” (beige, red, blue, white and olive green).
The new collection includes a variety of clothing and accessories, one of the most affordable being an espresso cup for 25 euros. As for price, the limited edition chronograph is at the top of the range at 10,950 euros.
It should be noted that the special version “911 Turbo 50 Years” of the “Porsche” was previously presented. It is equipped with a number of unique exterior details and the same special checkered interior trim. Technically, the car is a standard modification of the “Turbo S”.
