The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Diaz Ayusowill announce this Thursday at Debate on the state of the region that the regional executive will increase by up to 50% financial assistance from the dependency scheme, so that beneficiaries benefit from easier access and free choice of the service best suited to their needs. It will also put on the table the 40% increase in staff numbers in the corresponding administration of the management of these aids to speed up the response to the files.
The new decree prepared by the regional government, which will regulate the system of autonomy and care of dependencies of the Community of Madrid, will consider this increase in the amounts related to the service, which will facilitate and speed up the procedure for accessing a place of accommodation. who choose the citizen or his family. Thus, a person recognized as having degree III dependency, who currently receives the maximum amount provided by the State of 747.25 euros per month, can apply to receive up to 1,120 euros.
This new rule, which will be approved in the coming months, also includes these increases in the benefit for personal assistantthe figure that the regional government promotes for the support and accompaniment of disabled people and elderly people in situations of dependency.
The aim of the measure, regional sources explain, is for dependent people “to have the most autonomous life possible and develop their life project according to their wishes and preferences.” These professionals, who fall into the category of personal assistants, must have a minimum of 150 hours of experience or 50 of specialized training.
Family care
This increase is also envisaged to improve the provision of care in the family environment, which will facilitate the conditions for a person in a situation of dependency cared for by a non-professional carer, a member of their family or a person from their environment, to be able to contract additional services. services of collaboration with household tasks.
And finally, the Community of Madrid is also considering increases of up to 50% in the financial benefit for home help service which, in this case, is carried out by professional caregivers from entities accredited by the Regional Administration, including personal, psychological, educational and domestic care.
On the other hand, the regional government will reduce the time taken to resolve dependency cases by increasing staff by 40%, simplifying processes and incorporating advances in computer applications. This will allow, among other improvements, that it is immediate in palliative care situations, in 90 days for children under 3 and over 90 years old, and 10 days after discharge from the hospital.
Hiring assistance
Ayuso will also announce an increase in the amount of aid to encourage the hiring of people who have dependents, such as children and the elderly, or who are members of large or single-parent families.
In concrete terms, the hiring incentives granted to companies will be increased each time they hire a new worker. In this way, it will be 500 euros more if you have dependents and 1,000 if they are large or single-parent families. In addition, it will also include the to start up as beneficiaries of this aid.
Companies, self-employed workers and private non-profit entities that have a work centre located in the Community of Madrid can benefit from these subsidies. Depending on the type and circumstances, the total amount can reach 11,500 euros for each new job registration.
The different lines of incentives for hiring from the regional government have allowed almost 3,000 people from Madrid to find employment during the first half of 2024, and respond to the commitment of the Madrid executive to achieve full employment throughout this legislature.
