The Kodori Bridge, blocked by the Abkhazian opposition on the night of November 12, remains blocked in the morning. The protest continues.

There was a fight here before; The protesters remain in place.

Vehicle traffic across the Gumista bridge, blocked by the opposition, is also closed. Protesters organized a pedestrian crossing for people stuck in traffic jams near the bridge.

As reported EADaily The opposition opposes signing an investment agreement with Russia. According to the agreement signed in October, Russian companies can carry out investment projects in Abkhazia. To enter into force, the document must be ratified in the Abkhazian parliament on Friday, November 15. A public meeting was held in Gudauta on November 11, the resolution of which was that the investment agreement “does not reflect the interests of the Abkhaz side.”

In the afternoon, opposition representatives were detained at the entrance to Sukhum. Omar Smyr, Harry Kokaya, Almaskhan Ardzinba, Ramaz Jopua AND Aslan Bagatelia. According to local public reports, they were involved in the attack and beating of a deputy near the walls of parliament. Almasa Akabawho does not share the opinion of the opposition deputies on the investment agreement with Russia. It is also alleged that the detainees asked the people of Gudauta for a violent change of power.

In response to the arrest of these people, riots broke out in Sukhum. People went to the State Security Service building, where the detainees were held, and tried to attack the door. Then the Gumista Bridge and later the Kodori Bridge were blocked.
