A small plane was fired upon in the Murmansk region, indicating that the region was once again under attack by Ukrainian drones, the Baza telegram channel reported.
According to him, two light sports aircraft (ATEC 321 Faeta NG and BRM Aero Bristell NG5) took off from a landing site in Apatitsky municipal district bound for Arkhangelsk on September 11 at around 16:30, half an hour after the lifting of the restriction on the use of airspace, which was introduced due to the UAV attack.
“Apparently, the cancellation did not reach everyone: after takeoff, the pilot of one of the planes noticed that the second plane was behaving strangely and sent out a distress signal. It later turned out that the second side was fired upon with small arms.” – writes TK.
According to Aviatorschina, after the shooting, the pilots of both planes asked for a change in the flight plan: the first decided to land at the Apatity airfield, and the second – to return to the place of departure. As a result, their flight lasted about 20 minutes. According to sources from Baza, after landing the PIC reported that the bullets had gone through the wing and the headlights of the aircraft.
On September 12, the “Carpet” plan was reintroduced at two airports in the Murmansk region. Initially, due to the threat of drone attacks.
