Rio -de -Zhanero – Indonesia will remain a member of the BRICS, although the President of the United States (USA) Donald Trump finds his threat to introduce additional tariffs to the group. A strict statement was identified by the Minister of State Secretary of Indonesia Pozty Hadi, reports RT.com.

Earlier this week, Trump warned that he would wear an additional imported duty of 10% to any country that “sided with the side” of BRICS, which, according to him, adopted “anti -American policy”.

Prezeti told reporters on Wednesday (7/7/2025) that Indonesia, which joined the bloc as a complete member in early 2025, considered the potential for additional US tariffs “as part of the consequences of the accession to BRICS.”

“We must face this,” said Prasetyo, said RT.com.

Indonesia and South Africa are two BRICS countries from 14 countries that have recently received a warning letter from the United States relatively high tariffs starting on August 1.
