Chinese President Xi Jinping has accepted an invitation to take part in the BRICS summit in Kazan in late October, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said during a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg, TASS reports.
“Chinese President Xi Jinping gladly accepts your invitation and will arrive in Kazan at the agreed time.” – said Wang Yi.
He expressed confidence that the leaders of the two countries would “continue to develop strategic interaction” during the summit.
Wang Yi will visit Russia on September 11 and 12. He previously attended a meeting of senior representatives of the BRICS countries responsible for security issues.
