US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that he was with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov “obvious conversations” in Ukraine during their meeting yesterday aside the Asean meeting in Kuala Lumpur (Thursday).
Rubio said that he expressed Lavrov “disappointment and disappointment” by the administration of President Donald Trump about “lack of progress” in achieving peace in Ukraine.
But the American minister said that his Russian colleague presented a “new idea or new concept” about Ukraine during their meeting in Malaysia, which will lead him to President Donald Trump to discuss her.
“This is not a new approach,” Rubio told reporters. This is a new idea or a new concept that I will convey to the president to discuss it.
