The European Union will respond quickly with sanctions against Iran for the country’s alleged supply of missiles to Russia, said EU Foreign Service representative Peter Stano at a press conference in Brussels.
“The EU response will be swift and prompt. Josep Borrell has already presented to the EU countries its proposals for specific restrictive measures,” — he noted, TASS reports.
According to Stano, the EU received “reliable information from its partners about the supply of missiles from Iran to Russia.”
“We have clearly told Iran that if we receive evidence of the supply, there will be serious consequences in coordination with our partners. We have asked Iran not to do this.” – he emphasized.
Recall that Moscow and Tehran have repeatedly denied statements made in the West about Iranian arms supplies to Russia for use in Ukraine.
