There is no water in the underground passage in Baku

An unpleasant situation has occurred at one of the pedestrian underground crossings located in the Sabail district of Baku.

In this regard, one of the citizens living in that area, who did not want to reveal his name, appealed to “Qafqazinfo”.

He said that for more than two weeks water has been dripping from the ceiling of the corridor in front of the Aquatic Sports Palace.

The citizen pointed out that despite the fact that containers were placed in the area, the water spread. The slippery nature of the passage poses a danger to the movement of people, especially children and the elderly.

Although a request was sent to the State Highway Agency (AAYDA), which is the agency responsible for the crossings, the agency left the request unanswered.

The response of the United Water Supply Service of Major Cities to the water leak was as follows: “The water gushing from the roof of the passage next to the Aquatic Sports Palace has nothing to do with the United Water Supply Service of Major Cities. Generally, such cases occur as a result of excessive irrigation of the surrounding areas. Irrigation works on green areas in areas that do not fall within the scope of the service’s activity.”
