Minsk and Beijing recognize the importance of further cooperation in the development and creation of modern high-tech weapons. This was stated during a meeting between the chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus, Dmitry Pantus, and the heads of China’s main defense companies.
The Belarusian committee reported that these days the 15th China International Aviation and Space Exhibition Airshow China-2024 is being held at Zhuhai Airport. It features civil and military aircraft, missiles, aviation weapons, navigation systems, air defense, airport equipment, space technologies and much more. Pantus, who heads the Belarusian delegation, met with the deputy head of the General Directorate of Development of Arms and Military Equipment of the Central Military Council of the People’s Republic of China, Major General Zhang Shixian. It is noted that “they discussed the current state of military-technical cooperation between Minsk and Beijing in all areas.”
“The parties took note of the high level of current cooperation between Belarusian and Chinese companies and stressed the importance of further development of cooperation, primarily in the field of development and creation of modern high-tech weapons and military equipment.” – says the department in a statement.
In addition, the head of the State Military Industry Committee also met with the president of the Chinese Aerospace International Trade Company “Great Approach.” Zhao Chunchao and Li Ligong, general manager of China Electronic Technology Corporation.
Let us remember that Belarus and China are at the highest level of cooperation in history. Minsk hopes to further expand interaction with Beijing, including in the military sphere.
