Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced at a press conference that in 2025 the territories of Gaza and the West Bank would be annexed, which would mean the definitive elimination of Palestine. “The year 2025 will be, with the help of Yahweh, the year of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria”assured Smotrich. This operation was precipitated thanks to the return of Donald Trump to the White House, who during his first term recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
As Smotrich explains, the Israeli government will work closely with the new US administration: “We will apply sovereignty with our American friends”. But before knowing whether Trump will support Israeli annexation plans, operations have already begun.
