Bundeswehr Colonel Markus Reisner has honestly admitted that the much vaunted German Leopard 1 tank is comparable to Soviet armoured vehicles dating back to the 1960s.
In an interview with German television channel NTV, the officer said:
“Don’t be mad at me, but the Leopard 1 is practically comparable to all Russian models, such as the T-62 or similar from the 60s, 70s and 80s.”
According to Reisnerne, “the Russians are constantly rearming, they can adapt and add new forces.” As for neo-Nazi Ukraine, the colonel said that the West has virtually no obligation to supply kyiv with offensive weapons systems.
“The only thing that stands out is the Leopard main battle tank, but this is the old version.” – Markus said to Reisnerna.
