He also encouraged concrete cooperation in regional strategic issues, such as marine safety, energy transitions and economic integration, which correspond to the view of the ASEAN on the Indo-Pacific region (AOIP).
“Next year, EAS is even 20 years old. This is not only a moment of reflection, but also an invitation to strengthen our collective commitment. Moral leadership is the only way to restore the expectation of the world, ”he said.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Servipoto closed his statement, calling for the strengthening of mutual trust and cooperation between countries.
“Eas should grow as a pillar of the world and the well-being of the Indo-Pacific region,” he concluded.
This time, representatives of 18 member countries, including the United States, Russia, China, Australia, Japan, South Korea, India and New Zealand, took part at a meeting of the EAS. This forum reflects the strategic position of ASEAN in the mobilization of partners to maintain regional stability, peace and growth.
