The Junta de Andalucía ordered preventive expulsions all along the banks of the Guadalhorce in Álora, Cártama, Alhaurín de la Torre, Pizarra and Málaga. The area most affected by the latest DANA, where around twenty rescues took place by helicopter and zodiac. The entire bank was the “zero point” of the last DANA, when the river overflowed and carried away everything in its path.
The first floods were recorded in Álora. There, the wave swept away the cars and left the neighbors stranded. These were the first rescues. Furthermore, the city was left without aquiferssince they all flooded and contaminated the mud.
A few hours later, the neighborhood of San Hipólito, in Pizarra, saw the citrus plantations located along the river flooded. The water reaches four meters high and the inhabitants of these farms had to be rescued by rescue teams.

Further down was Cártama, where, in the neighborhood of Doña Ana, the houses were full of mud with the flooding of the river. In this part, many lost their prefabricated houses on the farms closest to the capital and their farms. The river, four meters high, destroyed everything in its path.
In Alhaurín de la Torre, only diedwho was rescued from his home by Zodiac, but could not resist hypothermia. At the gates of Malaga, residents left their plots of land by water to reach safety.
