Due to the new academic year, there will be changes in the public transport schedule.
According to Xezerxeber.az, work on the new timetable has begun taking into account the metro hours during which students travel the most.
In recent days, traffic congestion has increased on many streets and avenues due to road repair and restoration works, and changes have occurred in the traffic pattern of some bus routes. Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) reported that the number of buses in Sumgait city and Absheron region has been increased to 486 to improve passenger transportation opportunities due to the start of the academic season.
To meet the increased passenger demand in connection with the new academic year, trains running on the Absheron Loop Line will also operate on an updated schedule.
According to the updated schedule, 13 flights from Baku, 11 flights from Sumgayit, 20 flights from Baku and 22 flights from Sumgayit will be operated on the Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgayit route during the day.
