Donald Trump, winner of the US presidential election, announced the appointment of investor Steve Witkoff as US special envoy for the Middle East, as follows in a wide-ranging statement.
Witkoff was also previously appointed to the upcoming inauguration committee. It was noted that he is a close friend of Trump.
