Today (on Friday), MSF warned that his teams in Gaza note an increase in the acute level of malnutrition in the besieged Palestinian sector destroyed by the war.

NGO said that severe malnutritions became witnesses to “unprecedented growth” in two clinics in gas.

In her statement, she added that “teams (MSF) are witnesses of sharp and unprecedented growth of acute malnutrition among the inhabitants of Gaza,” according to the French press agency.

She explained that “in the clinic of al -Mavasala in South Gaza and in (MSF) clinic in gas, in the northern part of gas, we observe the largest number of misunderstandings registered by our commands in the strip.

Currently, two clinics offer treatment for more than 700 pregnant women and lactating women and about 500 children with severe and average malnutrition.

The organization said that the number of cases in the city gas clinic almost doubled 4 times in less than two months, from 293 cases in May to 983 cases at the beginning of this month.

The statement quotes the deputy medical coordinator of doctors without the boundaries of the organization in Gaza Muhammed Abu Mugaisib, it says: “This is the first time we witnessed cases of malnutrition with this wide range in gas.”

“Blind hunger”

Abu Mugaisib added that “the starvation of people in gas is intentional,” emphasizing that “this can end tomorrow if the Israeli authorities allow the entry of food on a large scale.”

Israel prevented the introduction of food and other vital materials in gas for more than two months since March, which required a warning about hunger throughout the sector, which destroyed most of the Israeli bombing since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.

Israel began to allow food supplies to gradually enter at the end of May, but thanks to the new organization that it supports, and the United States called the Gamanitarian Gas Fund.

The operations of the fund, which actually led to the marginalization of the United Nations and its agencies in Gaza, saw chaotic scenes and almost daily reports that the Israeli forces opened fire on the Palestinians who are waiting for food assistance.

On Friday, the United Nations said that at least 615 people were killed in the vicinity of Gaza Gamanitarian Gaza centers from May 27. The Fund denies the occurrence of fatal shooting incidents in the direct area of its assistance centers.

On Friday, MSF confirmed that “the presence of malnutrition in gas is the result of deliberate and studied options for the Israeli authorities.”

She added that Israel decided to “limit the food recording to a minimum necessary for survival, as well as dictate and militarize the distribution products later, all this, while most of the local ability to produce was destroyed.”

The organization described how wounded malnutrition “begged for food instead of medicine, and how their wounds do not heal from the absence of protein.”

“The situation exceeded the stage of danger,” said Dr. Joan Perry from MSF.
