At least three people were killed, including two border guards, and another was injured in an attack on a security agency vehicle in Iran’s conflict-ridden southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, Iranian media reported on Friday.
The attack happened on Thursday evening when A group of armed men fired on a border guard vehicle at a gas station in the city of Mirjaveh.near the border with Pakistan, the Mehr news agency reported.
Two border guards and an employee of the military were killed in the attack, while a civilian was injured.

The attack was claimed by the Yeish al Adl group, which opposes the Iranian Shiite regime and which Tehran considers a terrorist organization, Mehr reported.
Yeish al Adl operates on the porous Iran-Pakistan border and has claimed responsibility for numerous attacks in recent times.including coordinated attacks that left at least 34 dead in April, including 22 police officers.
The Sistan-Baluchestan region has a predominantly Sunni population and is home to extremist groups from that branch of Islam opposed to the Shiite government in Tehran, as well as gangs of smugglers and drug traffickers.
