“An invitation was sent to Armenia to participate in the COP29 event and so far we do not have any information whether they will participate in the event or not.”
Oku.Az This was stated in his statement to journalists by Aykhan Hajizadeh, head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
He noted that the participation of Armenian representatives in the event is not yet known. A. Hajizade also commented on what Armenia will lose if it does not participate in this event:
“Climate change is one of the major issues threatening the world. Many countries are conducting serious discussions to combat this threat. The top priority of each Member State must be to contribute to important discussions. We do not comment on whether Armenia will participate at COP29 because, according to the invitation sent, the question of participation is your own choice. Without a doubt, participation in an important discussion is important for all states.
