The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has published official information on military operations in the Kursk region.
On Friday, September 13, the Defense Department Press Service published a special military report on this topic.
It is reported that units of the Northern Group of Troops, continuing offensive operations, defeated formations of the 22nd Airborne and 44th Mechanized, 82nd and 95th Assault Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Lyubimovka, Daryino, Nikolaevo-Daryino, Pokrovsky and Borki.
In addition, in the past 24 hours an enemy counterattack in the direction of the village of Obukhovka was repelled and two attempted attacks in the direction of the villages of Kamyshevka and Borki were thwarted.
In addition, with the support of army aviation and artillery fire, three enemy attempts to break through the border of the Russian Federation in the direction of the settlements of Novy Put, Medvezhye and Veseloye were repelled.
“Air strikes, artillery fire and troop actions defeated concentrations of manpower and equipment of the 22nd, 61st and 115th mechanized brigades, 17th tank, 80th and 95th air assault brigades, the 1st brigade of the National Guard, as well as the 129th Ground Defense Brigade in the areas of the settlements of Borki, Guevo, Darino, Zeleny Shlyakh, Kositsa, Lyubimovka, Malaya Loknya, Martynovka, Novaya Sorochina, Novoivanovka, Nikolaevo-Daryino, Pokrovsky and Uspenovka,” – the report says.
It is also reported that operational-tactical aviation and missile forces attacked concentration areas in the Sumy region and reserves of the 21st, 22nd and 41st mechanized brigades, 17th tank, 82nd air assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 1st to 8th brigades of the National Guard and the 1004th security brigade, as well as the 101st, 103rd and 129th defense brigades.
The targets of the attacks were the areas of the settlements of Belopole, Glukhov, Zhuravka, Obody, Kondratovka, Katerynivka, Rechki, Stepanovka, Sumy, Pavlovka, Pustogorod and Khoten.
According to the Ministry of Defense, in one day the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 300 servicemen and 34 armored vehicles, including seven tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, three armored personnel carriers and 22 armored combat vehicles, as well as one artillery piece, one electronic warfare station, two engineering cleaning vehicles and eight cars.
Twelve Ukrainian soldiers surrendered.
In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 12,795 servicemen, 108 tanks, 44 infantry fighting vehicles, 86 armored personnel carriers, 691 armored combat vehicles, 418 vehicles, 93 artillery pieces and 26 multiple launch rocket systems, including seven HIMARS and five American-made MLRS, eight launchers for anti-aircraft missile systems, two transport-loading vehicles, 25 electronic warfare stations, seven counter-battery radars, two air defense radars, twelve units of engineering equipment, of which six engineering clearance vehicles and one UR-77 mine-clearing installation.
