The Malaga Metro has announced that due to the red alert issued by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), line 2 service will be temporarily suspended. Likewise, it was reported that line 1 would continue to operate partially. The measure was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and staff. In this sense, Malaga Metro users are recommended to pay attention to the timetables and stops that will remain in service.

Malaga Metro Line 2 service timetable

The service of line 2 of the Malaga metro was gradually reduced from 9:00 a.m., since the red alert was triggered at 10:00 a.m. It is for this reason that the last train towards the Palacio de los Deportes left Guadalmedina at 9:49 a.m., while the last train in the opposite direction left at 9:30 a.m. With the end of these services, line 2 will remain suspended until the red alert in Malaga is deactivatedsomething that isn’t due until midnight.

Partial service on line 1 of the Malaga metro

For its part, line 1 will maintain a partial service from 10:00 a.m. between Barbarela and Andalucía Tech stations. Routes involving other stations will be temporarily out of service. The last trains between Atarazanas and Andalucía Tech left at 9:44 a.m. and 9:20 a.m. respectively.
