Alert in Ceuta due to a call to networks that encourages a mass entry to swim on Sunday

THE Tarajal border which separates Ceuta from Morocco begins to be protected by strict security measures in response to a call on social networks that urges Moroccans to swimming in Ceuta this Sunday, just days after 50 people were arrested in Morocco for planning the action.

Police sources informed Efe that increased security is being adopted among the Moroccan population of Castillejos, just two kilometers from the border of Ceuta, with the incorporation of more police and military in the beach area where these types of trips usually start.

More than 50 prisoners

In recent days, Moroccan authorities have announced the arrest of around fifty people who were inciting people through social networks to swim to Ceuta via the Tarajal border dike this Sunday, September 15.
