Two preschool children died as a result of a fire in a private house in the Mineralovodsk district of Stavropol, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region reported.
“A fire broke out in a private house in the village of Nagutskoye. There were four-year-old siblings in the house. According to the investigation by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, they were playing with a lighter. The mother was previously in the yard at the time of the tragedy. The fire, covering 1 sq. m, was extinguished by nine firefighters and four teams from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. Psychologists from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are working with the woman.” – the message said.
The press service of the Russian Investigative Committee for the region clarified that the children born in 2021 and 2023 died. Experts are establishing the exact cause of the incident. A criminal case has been opened into the children’s deaths.
