Belarus and Russia work together to counter Western information warfare

Minsk and Moscow are jointly opposed to the large-scale information war unleashed against Belarus and Russia, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko announced this today, September 13.

“Today, when a large-scale information war is being waged against us, trying to shake us from within, create a split in society and undermine trust in the authorities, it is very important to be able to competently defend national interests, traditional values and historical memory.” – he said, speaking at the State of the Union forum of young historians.

According to him, this is the most important state task that the Russian Federation is solving together with brotherly Belarus. Chernyshenko noted that relations between Russia and Belarus have always been strategic and built on the principles of mutual respect and consideration of common interests.

“Today, the key is our ability to jointly defend traditional spiritual and moral values; they are the same in Russia and Belarus.” – the Russian Deputy Prime Minister noted.

Chernyshenko also recalled that in the history of the two countries there are enough “examples of friendship and selfless mutual assistance, the desire to act together to achieve higher goals.”

Let us recall that Belarus and Russia are building a union state. Recently, the parties have been paying special attention to ensuring the information security of both countries.
