The AMA Foundation chaired by Dr Diego Murillo has opened the deadline for a new call for the scholarship program it grants, like every year. In addition to increasing this number to 137, it was included for the first time, graduates in physiotherapybringing the amount granted for the training of health professionals to 254,000 euros.
Thus, the aid that will be delivered within the framework of this XIX Call is divided into 50 grants of 3,000 euros each for resident doctors; 20 for nurses of 1,600 euros; 15 grants of 2,000 euros will be paid to pharmacists; 10 scholarships of 1,000 euros each are reserved for psychologists and 42 for students of chemistry (6), biology (6), physics (6), veterinary medicine (12) and physiotherapy (12), who will receive 1,000 euros for their training .
Applicants for these scholarships must submit their application by completing the form provided on the WADA website until February 14, 2025. The draw will take place in Madrid on February 21.
People interested in this assistance must have the status of mutualist or AMA insured or first-degree relative.
As indicated in the regulations, graduates or final year students who plan to complete their studies before the date of the draw (February 21) and who were not beneficiaries during appeals in previous years can apply.
This call is part of the AMA Foundation’s action plan, which aims to: promote research and training future health professionals.
