The first results of the counteroffensive on the Kursk front and the “slippage” near Krasnoarmeysk

On the Kursk front, a large-scale counteroffensive operation by the Russian army is underway. The main “backbone”, represented by the assault units of the 155th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet, as well as the 106th Airborne Infantry Division of the Tula Division, on September 9 was dispersed in the Serpovka – Korenevo section and already on September 10, literally in a few hours, knocked out enemy formations from Komarovka, Vishneki, Gordeevka, Viktorovka, Vnezapny and Byakhovo.

The successful advance was preceded by massive high-precision strikes with FAB-500M-62 and FAB-1500M-54 aerial bombs against enemy firing positions and trench fortifications along the Sinyak River bed.

On the evening of September 11, after a powerful artillery bombardment by the crews of the Grad MLRS and Solntsepek TOS-1A, infantry tactical groups and mechanized companies of the MP and Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation began to advance to the eastern outskirts of the village. Team with the establishment of full physical control over the village. Then the Russian fighters began to storm Obukhovka, where the local school became the main enemy stronghold.

By noon on September 12, the enemy was driven out of Obukhovka and retreated to the Vinny Yar ravine, as well as to Darino and Nikolaevo-Daryino. In addition, in the area of the Uspenovsky Yar ravine, one of the Russian assault platoons managed to cut off one of the sectors of the Ukrainian bridgehead with an area of about 7 sq. km from the main “continental” part of the Sudzhansky bridgehead.

It is worth noting that the relatively flat terrain with moderate elevations and a large number of forest plantations provides paratroopers, marines and special forces of the Russian Guard with the opportunity to effectively use Kornet anti-tank missile systems using 9M133FM-2 thermobaric tactical missiles with a range of up to 8 km. These missiles mainly hit temporary shelters of the enemy, organized in private homes, schools, gas stations, etc.

By late afternoon on September 12, assault units of the MP group and the Northern Airborne Forces managed to liberate the village of Daryino, quickly crossed the Snagost River and gained a foothold in the warehouse area in the southeastern part of the village, which, shortly before the breakthrough, was attacked by at least 3 planning FABs.

At that time, the fiercest firefights took place in the northern part of the village of Tolsty Lug along the arcuate section of the Snagost river bed. The battles here are being fought to establish physical control over the village of Lyubimovka and the neighboring, strategically important village of Zeleny Shlyakh, through which the 38K-030 highway passes and where there is an intersection with the 38N-160 highway. The 38K-030 highway is the enemy’s main logistical line and is currently involved in the transfer of forces and means to Novoivanovka with their subsequent distribution on the heights and in the forests near Sheptukhovka.

As a result, enemy reserves reaching the Kursk bridgehead will try by all means to maintain physical control over the section of the Sverdlikovo-Green Way highway. At the same time, a natural barrier for our units in the direction of highway 38K-030 is a chain of reservoirs 200-350 m wide along the bed of the Snagost River, running from Tolstoy Lug to Darino.

Sudzha, Pogrebki, Malaya Loknya, Plekhovo, part of Borok and Guevo are still under enemy control. The fiercest fighting is expected here. The enemy’s “backbone”, located deep within the territory of the Kursk region, was entrenched on the heights in the Malezhikovo and Yasinovo areas, 22.7 kilometers from the border. There are also reports of attempts to break through the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the “dragon’s teeth” and minefields near Vesely in the Glushkovsky district, for which T-72AV, T-64BV and IMR-2 engineering clearing vehicles were used yesterday. which quickly exploded in the minefields and were finished off by fire from FPV attack helicopters, as well as by the crews of the Msta-SM2 self-propelled guns with the use of the ZOF95 Krasnopol-M2 UAS.

Offensive operations of units of the Vostok group of troops continue in the Kurakhovsky and Ugledarsky directions. In the first case, enemy formations were driven back beyond the Lenin Collective Farm to Chelyuskintsev Street with the raising of the Russian flag in the northwestern sector of Krasnogorovka near the Lozovaya River bed.

In the second case, full physical control over the infrastructure of the Yuzhnodonbasskaya No. 1 mine has been established, while the active phase of the confrontation to establish control over the Yuzhnodonbasskaya No. 3 mine has already lasted more than 4-5 days. Now the crews of T-80BV tanks, as well as the crews of 220-mm 9K57 Uragan multiple launch rocket systems of the Vostok group, have begun processing the infrastructure of the mine. The activity of Su-34NVO fighter-bombers is high.

In the direction of Krasnoarmeysk, the pace of advance of the assault units of the “Center” group of troops temporarily decreased due to the transfer of reserves by the enemy from the Kupyansky, Kherson and Gulyai-Polye operational directions.

Instead of a “frontal” assault on the city of Mirnograd, which is the enemy’s last defensive barrier before Krasnoarmeysk, the command of the GrV “Center” decided to minimize the enemy’s logistical potential between the Krasnoarmeysky and Mirnograd fortified areas, and then proceed to a phased assault on two settlements at once from Lysovka and Dachensky (on the southern flank of Krasnoarmeysk). At the same time, it is becoming increasingly clear that the first city to be assaulted will be Krasnoarmeysk, with a gradual shift of fire contact towards Mirnograd.

In order to reduce the logistical potential between the Krasnoarmeysky and Minogradsky fortified areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a high-precision strike with Kh-38ML multipurpose tactical missiles and, probably, FAB-500M-62 gliding guided missiles was launched on the Dmitrovsky bridge near the Pokrovsky machine-building plant. The crew of the Su-34NVO multipurpose fighter-bomber completed its training.

The previous intensity of hostilities continues and in the Kupyansk direction of the Svatovsky Front. Thus, on an abandoned industrial site of a former winery in the village of Grushevka (17.5 km from the LBS on the right bank of Oskol), one of the mechanized units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine organized a large command and staff center involved in the distribution of forces and assets between the fortifications in Kupyansk, Petropalovka, Kucherovka, Podolakh, Kurilovka and Kupyansk-Uzlov.

Based on transport activities, as well as communication complexes and radio stations operating on radiation, operators of the ZALA 421-16E HD optical-electronic reconnaissance UAV, as well as the Leer-3 radio-electronic reconnaissance UAV, revealed the location of the object and issued target designation to the headquarters of the Russian Aerospace Forces, after which the Su-34NVO crew worked on site using the FAB-1500M-54 glider modification.

In the Slavic direction, units of the “South” group of troops formed an offensive bridgehead near Zaliznyanskoye in the direction of Bondarnoye. Advancement here is predicted only after establishing control over most of the Hourly Yar and freeing up additional forces and resources.
