A man in his forties stabbed his parents in the family home in the San Adrián neighborhood of Bilbao, according to ‘El Correo’. The elderly mother and father were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital to be treated for stab wounds. They are serious but out of danger. The individual remains entrenched and threatens to jump from the balcony. The alleged perpetrator is known in the neighborhood for the “mental problems” he suffers from.
For their part, members of the Municipal Police and the Ertzaintza arrived quickly after receiving the notice and cordoned off the area. The firefighters placed a mattress under the balcony and the PRI agents are preparing to enter the house where it is barricaded.
According to Radio Euskadi, the man could be linked to an incident that occurred this morning, in which a man tried to drive his car from the fourth floor of the Bilbao airport car park.
