Oscar Puente has dismissed the president of ADIF, Angel Contreras, after less than a year at the helm of the public railway infrastructure manager, according to ‘El Español’.
The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has decided to dispense with Contreras, who has been in office for only nine months (since December 2023). Previously, he held the General Directorate of Conservation and Maintenance of the public company and was one of those responsible for the works on the high-speed line to Madrid.
It is precisely the numerous problems recorded in the works of the Chamartín station that constitute the great problem that Contreras has had to face during these nine months, which have caused significant delays on numerous occasions.
