Glamping sites, beaches and ski slopes in Russia are classified as hotels according to the number of stars.
According to the bill, approved in the second reading in the plenary session of the State Duma today, November 13, it follows from the amendments to the bill that the classification will be carried out in two stages: inclusion in the register and assignment of a ID. number and assigning a star rating to each object.
Mandatory hotel classification has been introduced in Russia since 2018. It does not apply to campsites, glamping sites and modular hotels. According to the authors of the bill, an imbalance is created and there is no necessary control over the activities of other accommodation establishments.
The classification requirement will also apply to ski slopes and beaches.
