The high-end catering company Dalloyau, declared in receivership at the beginning of August, will be absorbed by its competitor Potel et Chabot, the latter announced in a press release on Tuesday, October 29. Potel and Chabot’s offer, chosen by the Paris commercial court among those of seven possible buyers, foresees “the recovery of all employees and all their assets, supported by a solid investment plan”according to Potel and Chabot, which belongs to the Accor group.

Inventor of the famous opera.
Dalloyau, an emblematic luxury pastry company founded in 1682 in Versailles (to which we owe, in particular, the creation of the opera, a famous coffee and chocolate cake), found itself in difficulties due to the crisis linked to Covid-19. 19. The group, which at the beginning of August had 133 employees and an annual turnover of 8.4 million euros, failed to recover and found itself bankrupt at the beginning of August, accompanied by a six-month observation period.
