Artist honored dies – Oxu.az

Veteran actor of the Baku City Theatre, Honored Artist Rafik Ibrahimov, has passed away.

Oku.Az reports that the Baku City Theatre has published information on this matter.

R. Ibrahimov was born on November 2, 1955. During his high school years, he joined the People’s Theatre headed by Mammadkamal Kazimov. In 1974-1978 he studied at the Faculty of Dramatic and Film Acting of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts named after M.A. Aliyev. For some time he worked at the Teaching Theatre, Sumgayit State Drama Theatre, was engaged in pedagogical activities and taught the subject of stage oratory at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. Most of the creative activity of the actor, who also works at the “Sonmayan uduzlar” theatre of the Creative Fund and is engaged in dubbing, is connected with the Baku Municipal Theatre.

Rafiq Ibrahimov, who has been actively working at the Baku Municipal Theatre since 1994, has created interesting characters for each other. Salim Khan in the tragedy “Nadir Shah” by Nariman Narimanov, Fikret in the play by R. Icherisheharli “The Fatherland Needs Brave Men”, Hashim Agha in “My Mankind” by S. Rashidi, Bagudar in “Tomris” by O. Altunbay, “The Flower of the Mother” by F. Mammadov Child” Shahmar in “Crazy Domrul” by A. Mammadov, Dede Gorgud in “Nadir Shah” by N. imanov, Shah in “Mahsati” by N. Rafibeyli, Iblis in “Insan ve Iblis” by Amir Pahleva, “Villain in Oğul” by A. Babayev, Zaman in Dönush by J. Jabbarli, Salim Agha in “The Dead” by C. Mammadguluzade, Architect in “Sword of Damocles” by N. Hikmet, I. Played interesting roles in “The Tragedy of Karimov’s “Betrayal”, Mashadi Heydar in A. Gurbani’s “Turkish Sanjak” and other works.

At the same time, R. Ibrahimov created several characters in the cinema. A police officer in “The White Horse Boy” (1995, feature film), in “The Fate of the Ruler” (2008, feature film), a representative of Raykom in “The Last Dervish” (2009, feature film), a whistleblower in “Deladuzlar” (2014, feature film) and his role in other films were received with interest by the audience.
