Part of a building in Baku collapsed and residents spent the night on the streets.
We are talking about the Sabunchu district, Zabrat-1, Nasiba Zeynalova street, house 22.
According to Xezerxeber.az, 12 families currently live in this 109-year-old, two-storey dilapidated building.
According to the neighbours, even when they ask for emergency medical help, the medical staff who arrive at the home do not risk entering the houses.
Elvin Shiriyev, representative of the head of the executive authority of Sabunchu district for the administrative territory of Zabrat settlement, stated that although there is no relevant act of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the emergency state of the building, the building is in a state of emergency. It is completely unusable due to the fact that it has been in operation for many years without repair. The executive authority of Sabunchu district provided information on the current state of the building. According to the executive representative, until the problem that arose in the building is resolved, the Special Purpose Housing and Communal Management Unit No. 3 of the Housing and Communal Management Department of the city of Baku, where the building is in equilibrium, should be informed about it in order to ensure the safety of the residents living there and prevent accidents that may occur. Appropriate measures will be taken depending on the decision to be made.
