The case against Robert Kocharyan has been resumed in Armenia

The case against former President Robert Kocharyan has been reopened in Armenia.

The Armenian Court of Cassation has overturned the decision to end the investigation against the country’s second president, Robert Kocharyan, as well as against the former CSTO secretary general. Yuri KhachaturovThe court’s press service reported. The case will be heard by the Anti-Corruption Court.

In April 2021, the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction decided to drop the charge of overthrowing the constitutional order in 2008 against Kocharyan, Khachaturov and the former defense minister. Seyran Ohanyan and former deputy prime minister Armen Gevorkyan based on the decision of the Constitutional Court.
