Japan’s oldest man dies: he lived under four emperors

Japan’s oldest man, Wakui Tomisaburo, has died at the age of 110.

About this Oku.Az Reports with reference to “Haber Global”.

According to reports, Wakui, who was born on November 28, 1913, passed away in the city of Atsugi, near the capital Tokyo. However, the exact time and cause of his death are not disclosed due to family problems.

It should be noted that Nakamura Shigeki, Wakui’s predecessor, died in November 2022 at the age of 111 in Hiroshima, and Sonobe Gisaburo died in March 2024 at the age of 112 in Chiba.

It is worth recalling that the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare announced in April 2024 that Wakui Tomisaburo is the “oldest man in Japan”.

Wakui lived through four imperial periods in modern Japanese history: Taisho, Showa, Heisei and Reiva.
