The explosions occurred in Kharkov, said the mayor of the city, Igor Terekhov. One of them was heard in the western region of Kholodnogorsk, Terekhov said. Destruction has been reported in the city, but there is no information about the dead, the mayor added.
At 4:37 Moscow time, an air raid warning was announced in the Kharkov region. The warning is currently in effect in five regions of Ukraine.
Explosions occurred in Odessa and kyiv that same night, and Ukrainian media also reported explosions in the Cherkasy region.
The Russian Defense Ministry stresses that the strikes are carried out only against Ukrainian military and energy facilities and related infrastructure.
