The Brazilian court decided to lift the blocking of Starlink and social network X accounts

Starlink and X accounts will be unblocked in Brazil after paying a fine to the state, Reuters reported on Sept. 13, citing a document from the country’s Supreme Court.

“Judge of the Supreme Federal Court of Brazil Alejandro de Moraes decided to lift the blocks previously placed on the Starlink and X accounts,” – says the publication.

In addition, it is clarified that the total amount of fines paid was $3.3 million.

The Brazilian Supreme Court ordered X to be suspended from working in the country on August 30. The closure order is due to the expiration of the deadline for the appointment of a legal representative in Brazil. A daily fine of 9 thousand dollars for the use of the social network X (Twitter) was introduced in Brazil on August 31, following a court decision.
