Delcy RodriguezExecutive Vice President of Venezuela, met in recent hours with the director of the business unit of Repsol in the Latin American country to discuss “business alliances” and advance plans for “energy cooperation”.
The Vice President and Minister of Oil of Nicolás Maduro also admitted that the collaboration with Repsol has allowed us to expand the average crude oil production and light in various oil projects in the country.
“Our country continues to advance in its energy cooperation projects and in its alliances with companies that, like Repsol, trust and invest in the world’s largest oil reserve,” assured Rodríguez.
Synergies between Venezuela and Repsol
The “synergies” between Venezuela and Repsol reinforce the country’s commitment to consolidating its position as “a leader in the global energy market, promoting development and economic stability through strategic alliances and international cooperation,” according to VTV.
The meeting took place days after Venezuela summoned the Spanish ambassador to CaracasRamón Santos Martínez, and will call for consultations with his diplomatic representative in Spain, Gladys Gutiérrez, in response to the “insolent, intrusive and crude” statements by the Spanish Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, who referred to the government of Nicolas Maduro as a “dictatorship.”
