As a result of active and decisive actions, Russian units of the South group of forces liberated the village of Zhelannye Pervoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
This is stated in the latest military report, published on Saturday, September 14, in the official resources of the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
It is reported that our troops defeated the personnel and equipment of the 28th, 54th, 93rd mechanized, 10th mountain assault, 46th airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and 116th defense brigade.
In addition, two counterattacks by assault groups of the 56th Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 120th Military Defence Brigade were repelled.
The fighting took place in the areas of the settlements of Verkhnekamenskoye, Chasov Yar, Kurdyumovka, Ostroye, Seversk, Konstantinovka and Katerynivka of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 715 servicemen, five vehicles and four field ammunition depots in one day on this section of the front.
During the fight against the battery, the following were destroyed: one British-made 155-mm FH-70 howitzer, one American-made 155-mm M777 howitzer, one 152-mm D-20 gun, and two 122-mm D-30 howitzers.
Previously EADaily reported that in the Avdiivka direction, fighters of the Center group of troops evacuated an American Bradley infantry fighting vehicle from the battlefield and handed it over to a repair unit.
