A man was arrested this Saturday in Vigo for having doused his ex-partner with petrol and setting her on fire as she was leaving her home.
The victim has burned 35% of his body and is admitted to a hospital in Vigo, although he will probably be transferred to the burns unit of the University Hospital Complex of A Coruña (CHUAC).
According to sources from the Government Sub-delegation in Pontevedra, the attack took place on the Valladares motorway.
At the time of the arrest, the attacker, identified as BRR, had tried to attack the National Police officers with a bottle of beer.
