The Community of Madrid offers 1.2 million for public-private collaboration R&D&I projects

As the Madrid government explains, projects must have a minimum budget of 1.5 million euros, duration between 24 and 36 months and the amount they will receive could reach up to 1.25 million euros per year.

With an investment of 15 million euros from the Regional Executive, groups formed by at least one large company, two SMEs and a public research body that operate in the region will be able to apply.

The work may focus on the areas of human and social processes, communications and digital transformation, advanced enabling technologies, ecological transition, global health and biotechnologies and agrifood.

Thanks to this initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science and Universities, business groups will be able to develop feasibility studies, industrial research projects and experimental development.

Other aids for innovation

In addition, the regional government has requested another line of aid to promote technological innovation among the business community. In this case, the investment will be 4.5 million for three years, and research dissemination entities, non-profit organizations and other economic agents could benefit.

The goal “is to stimulate activity by promoting the sharing of equipment and the exchange of theoretical and practical knowledge, and the projects will receive a maximum of 450,000 euros.”

The deadline for submitting applications for both grants will be until September 30 on the Community of Madrid website.
