Iran puts Chamran-1 research satellite into orbit

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Forces have successfully launched the Iranian Chamran-1 research satellite. information IRNA Agency.

The satellite, which weighs about 60 kg, was launched into orbit using the Qaem-100 launch vehicle. It reached an altitude of 550 km and sent the first signals a few hours later.

According to the agency, the satellite’s primary mission is to test software and hardware to validate orbital maneuvering technology. It will also evaluate the performance of the cold gas propulsion subsystems and the performance of the navigation and situation management subsystems.

Earlier, Kursor reported that in late January, the IRGC Aerospace Forces launched the Soraya research satellite into space. Within 11 minutes, the satellite reached orbit at an altitude of 750 km above the Earth.

The Soraya spacecraft is designed to systematically monitor and collect information about our planet. It is equipped with modern instruments and advanced technologies, allowing research in a variety of fields, including meteorology, climatology and geology.
