The Champs-Élysées fills up a few minutes before the start of the parade.

Welcome to this live broadcast dedicated to the “parade of champions” of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, presented as the “fifth ceremony” of this edition.

What is it about? In a way, according to officials, to celebrate those who “made the Paris 2024 Games a success”On Saturday 14 September, between 3.30pm and 6pm, a parade is being organised on the Champs-Élysées, from Avenue Georges V towards the Arc de Triomphe.

Following a formal ceremony, the Place de l’Etoile will be transformed into “giant dance floor” to 9pm with an open-air concert, before DJs take over from 11pm to midnight.

Who will parade? Nearly 350 athletes from the French Olympic and Paralympic team, medallists or not. We will see swimmers Léon Marchand and the Portal brothers, athletes Timothée Adolphe and Gloria Agblemagnon, and judokas Teddy Riner and Sandrine Martinet. Also in the spotlight will be volunteers, civil servants, organisers and other actors in the French sporting movement.

Who will sing? Some of the artists who marked the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, such as Marc Cerrone, the singers Chris (Christine and the Queens) and Lucky Love, the duo Amadou and Mariam, or the mezzo-soprano Axelle Saint- Cirel, who sang The Marseillaise during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on July 26.

EITHER ? On “the most beautiful avenue in the world”, the Champs Elysees, “ where France is used to gathering and celebrating its triumphs”insists Paris 2024.

On which channels? The athletes’ parade will be broadcast on France 2 and TF1. The concert will be broadcast on France Télévisions.

  • The course of the day:

16:00 – 18:00: Parade of champions down the Champs-Élysées to the Place de la Étoile

18:30 – 20:00 h: Rekindling of the flame at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and ceremony of awarding of decorations

9pm: Concert with artists from the ceremonies of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games

23:00 – midnight: DJ set from the Arc de Triomphe
