They rescue 40 people stuck in the chairlift of the Xanadú ski resort: some suffer from mild hypothermia

The Firefighters of the Community of Madrid and the Special High Altitude Rescue Group (GERA) They saved 40 people, for the most part children, stuck in the chairlift of the ski slope of the shopping center of Madrid Xanadulocated in the municipality of Arroyomolinos, southwest of the Community of Madrid.

Madrid’s emergency services received a call this Saturday morning warning that the chairlift had stopped with 40 people spread across 13 seats. After three hours, the emergency services managed to get them down, some of them showing symptoms of mild hypothermia.

After being assessed by members of the Red Cross and SUMMA, all were unloaded on site.
