He Cava district celebrates its festivities this weekend, with music as the main protagonist, as well as photography contests, routes, workshops and activities for the little ones. And above all, express their commitment to Toledo, with round tables on the city and its future. In a beautiful setting, on the banks of the Tagus and with spectacular views of the city, several groups such as Flowerpotin the image, alongside Azogue Proyect, Ana Nájera, Maceta, Maripili and Hollywood Sinners.
This Saturday, there was a history tour of the neighborhood and a craft workshop, as well as seed bomb making and ornithology workshops, a talk about the emptied neighborhoods and a vermouth and a popular meal. And later, puppet bingo, storytelling and more music with Los Silos, Estrella Fugaz and Balkan Bomba.
This Sunday there will be popular games, a new show by Crispín d’Olot and workshops on stamping and floral decoration. In one, Jam Session with Dani Romero and later, Hijo de la Revoltosa DJ. After the meal, the afternoon will come with the complicity of DJs Beni and Delarossa, before the end of the festivities.
The neighborhood association explained in a statement that the festivities take place, “in a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by an aperitif and vermouth as last year, we will discuss the causes and consequences of the depopulation of the neighboring residents of our most historic neighborhoods, highlighting a factor that has a particularly significant impact: the concentration in these neighborhoods of tourist residences and businesses and the lack of shops, services, housing or affordable housing.
“This space is meant to be youA meeting point between institutions, associations, traders, professionals in the sector and committed citizens in Toledothat we have invited to this table and we hope for their participation,” explain the residents of La Cava, who specify that participation is “fundamental to enrich the dialogue, know what is being done to avoid it and seek common solutions for a problem that already “significantly affects the city of Toledo, to achieve sustainable tourism together in harmony with the neighborhoods and the inhabitants, preventing us from disappearing.”
