Within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in Baku from November 11 to 22, several documents were signed in the field of “green energy.” between Azerbaijan and Chinese companies.
Oku.Az informs that this was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
According to information, the signed documents are the following:
– Ministry of Energy, “China Energy Overseas Investment Co. Ltd.” for the 160 MW solar power project in Fuzuli region. Executive Agreement between the company and “SOCAR Green” LLC,
– Memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Energy and “China Energy Overseas Investment Co. Ltd” on cooperation in the field of renewable energy in Azerbaijan,
– Memorandum of Understanding on the development of renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan between the Ministry of Energy and China Datang Co. Ltd.
The documents provide for cooperation in investing in renewable energy projects, technical and economic justification, conducting relevant studies and exploring the possibilities of establishing a Renewable Energy Research and Development Center in Azerbaijan.
