The government has increased the cost of cleaning the Falcon, the socialist leader’s favourite means of transport, by 130%. Pedro Sanchez. Having these ships always ready will cost the public coffers 1,617,280 euros. This is a significantly higher expense than the previous one, since the last contract signed by the Executive, five years ago, provided for an expense of 705,280 euros for this same service.
The Socialist Executive published a call for tenders this summer on the State Procurement Platform to hire a company for the purpose of “Aircraft cleaning services of the 45th Group of the Armed Forces.” This is the fleet of famous Falcons that Sánchez uses to travel around the world.
The previous contract was signed five years ago. Then, as was proposed today, it was agreed that the service would be provided for five years. The object of this agreement was “the cleaning of the T.18 and T.22 transport aircraft”, as reflected in the technical specifications of the contract. These aircraft correspond to the “Falcon F900B and the Airbus A310-304, located at the Torrejón air base”.
However, in the new contract, the fleet to be cleaned is expanded. Since this year, the T.24 ship is also included, which corresponds to the Airbus A330-200 (MRTT). This aircraft is located at the same Torrejón air base.
What remains unchanged from the previous contract is the work that will be carried out by the company that wins the public tender. The winning company will clean “all areas inside the aircraft, the passenger cabin, the crew cabin, galleys and toilets”, in addition to “cleaning the external surface of aircraft”.
Specifically, you will be performing five different types of work. The company will have to provide a “pre-flight cleaning”, another “post-flight cleaning”, an “intensive cleaning”, as well as other “work on request”; and on the other hand, a “treatment of aesthetic damage to furniture”.
The number of monthly services that will be provided to each vessel is the same as that proposed five years ago for the T18 and T22 vessels. In the case of the T18, the winning company will perform 24 pre-flight cleanings, 25 post-flight cleanings and 4 intensive cleanings. For the T22, there will be 9 pre-flight services, 9 post-flight services and 1 intensive service.
The difference concerns the T24 aircraft, since the previous contract did not provide for the cleaning of this vessel. In your case, 9 pre-flight, 9 post-flight and 2 intensive cleanings are requested.
Furthermore, the technical specifications document specifies, as in the previous contract, that “the services can be requested 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and with a maximum response time of 2 hours.”
