The Central Election Commission of Georgia distributed mandates among the parties that entered parliament after the elections held on October 26.
In the Georgian Parliament of the 11th convocation, 148 seats were distributed and two undistributed seats were divided between the Georgian Dream and the Coalition for Change.
Of the 18 parties that participated in the elections, five parties exceeded the five percent threshold. Among them, the deputies’ mandates were distributed as follows:
- the ruling Georgian Dream (in coalition with People Power): 89 mandates;
- “Coalition for Change” (includes the parties “Akhali”, “Girchi-More Freedom”, “Droa”) – 19 mandates;
- “Unity – National Movement” (includes “United National Movement”, “Agmashenebeli Strategy”, “European Georgia”) – 16 mandates;
- “Strong Georgia” (includes Lelo, “For the People”, “Citizens”, “Freedom Square”): 14 mandates;
- “Gakharia for Georgia”: 12 mandates.
Opposition parties are currently abandoning their mandates and have no intention of participating in parliament. This is not an obstacle for Georgian Dream to start working. However, “Dream” did not obtain the constitutional majority; For this he needed 100 seats in parliament.
