Israel has killed Mahmoud Maaniya, a senior member of Hezbollah who, according to media reports, was behind the attack on an Israeli convoy in 1985.

As a result of that attack, Major Shaul Zahawi, an IDF officer, was killed and several soldiers were wounded. Maaniya, a resident of southern Lebanon, may have been a relative of Emad Maaniya, the Hezbollah chief of staff assassinated in 2008 in Syria.
Reports of Mahmoud Maaniya’s death sparked a strong reaction among Hezbollah supporters on social media, where there was a high level of outrage over his death.
According to the attached video, Maaniya’s mother says she once accompanied her son and nephew to plant an explosive device against an IDF convoy. He remembers how they pulled the cable, causing an explosion that injured Israeli soldiers.
Some sources claim that Maaniya was a member of Hezbollah’s Shura Council, but there is no official confirmation of this.

Media reported that the IDF killed Hadi Nasrallah, nephew of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
Family sources confirmed his death. Hadi Nasrallah, named after the son of Hassan Nasrallah, also killed by the IDF in 1997, was born in the village of Arya in southern Lebanon. There is currently no information available about his father.
