The Center of Emergency Coordination (CEE) of the Generalitat Valenciana activated the mobile civil protection alert Es-Alert for the first time in a real case due to heavy rain.

The massive and direct alert system to the population ES-Alert in the event of emergencies and disasters was sent this Tuesday afternoon, on the 8:10 p.m..
When the message arrives on a mobile phone, a shrill, repetitive beep sounds, different from other messaging apps. It stays on the screen until the user gives the option to accept.

Others regretted that the notice was sent in the afternoon, a few hours after many municipalities were flooded.
