The regional president of the PP stressed that citizens who lost their homes, vehicles and businesses “need help now and not promises”, which is why “it seems difficult to reach agreements with those who don’t want to get along,” which Page demonstrates “by not coming to the debate,” he said.
Tax credits
Núñez insisted on his proposals for those affected by DANA. Among them, the launch of the aforementioned Regional Provident Fund to help citizens who “lost everything”. He also mentioned a set of tax credits so that victims benefit from benefits “when paying taxes”and urged the regional executive to demand the European Solidarity Fund to deal with the emergency; a change in cohesion funds so that they reach the people concerned; demand that the Spanish government include Castilla-La Mancha in the recovery plan or that the Next Generation funds “change their destination to help the victims”.
Furthermore, Núñez asked the socialists that the Council help the farmers and breeders with a recovery plan for rural roads and infrastructure, as well as the use of the CAP crisis reserve, which the government can request “if the farmer or breeder finds himself in a sudden emergency situation” .
For his part, he is the spokesperson for the PP in the Cortes de Castilla-La Mancha, Caroline Agudoindicated that although the García-Page government asks for unity and collaboration in the face of the effects of DANA, this is what the PP has done “from the first minute.” Agudo regretted, at the same time, that his party did not obtain a response to any of its proposals, in particular that of allocating the 14 million from the provident fund to the people concerned.
